Dedalus and Arianna

The Network

Born to stretch beyond national boarders and to reinforce the partnership between European trade union organizations, the Dedalus and Arianna project has set up a wide and varied network. A network that seeks to consolidate international cooperation and to extend to some organizations operating in non-European countries currently seeking to become member states. The network emerging from this reinforcement and expansion process has made it possible to build a partnership between 10 trade union organizations from 8 different countries.

In the beginning, it involved the regional confederate organizations in Lombardy (CGIL and CISL), Catalonia (CCOO and UGT), Niedersachsen (DGB) and in South-East England (SERTUC) whose collaboration has been strong for many years. Then, the national confederation OPZZ (Poland) and the confederation CSDR (Romania) also took part in the project. Finally and more recently, the network was extended to two more non-European confederate organizations from Montenegro (USSCG) and Serbia (Nezavisnost).
