Listing good practices is an opportunity for those who are dealing with EWCs. We are convinced that the exchange of experiences is a very important factor for self-training and the dissemination of knowledge. The following list provides some remarks and suggests practices, brought together during the course of the project, resulting from the experiences directly accrued by EWC members, worker reps and trade union officers. The contents are the result of the work of many people, while their contribution was developed subjectively. As a consequence, it will be up to the reader to weigh up and evaluate the opportunity to implement specific practices in their corporate or trade union situation. The goal is to provide food for thought and circulate ideas to experiment, offering contents useful for EWC activities, that users can critically analyse.

#PlayYourCards is the campaign of the Dedalus and Arianna project designed to enhance and encourage the sharing of good practices in the context of European Works Councils. The idea behind is to transpose the checklists in a format that can convey two different messages through the metaphor of playing cards. For this reason, in order to convey a comprehensive view of what is the EWC world, 52 cards of the deck are addressed to three different targets: EWC members, trade union officials, and employee representatives.  The combination of the various cards can lead to field a winning strategy.

In the future, this list will be implemented on a participation basis – it is indeed possible to send proposals and suggestions to be added to it. If you wish to contribute, send an email to internazionale@cgil.lombardia.it,  writing your proposal in a form sufficiently concise to be posted on this page.

Extend the list, participate, write a proposal to internazionale@cgil.lombardia.it
